Call Before You Dig!!

Digging almost anywhere can be a dangerous adventure these days because of the many pipelines and other utilities buried around our homes and work places. Never assume that you know where utilities are, and even maps or drawings can often be off by several feet which is enough to get someone digging into big trouble. Activities like digging postholes for a fence or mailbox, or planting a tree, can end up damaging or rupturing a pipeline.

Texas law requires that any person, homeowner, professional, public or private entity, planning to engage in any form of excavation within the state of Texas, must notify the One Call notification system.

Call 811, at least 48 hours prior to excavating.

The One Call notification system is a free call and a free service to all persons planning an excavation within the state of Texas. The required 48 hours advance notice does not include Saturdays and Sundays or legal holidays. To learn more click here.
